Horseback Riding

Riding horses is a wonderful way to experience the beauty of the beaches and jungle covered hills surrounding Puerto Viejo. And we let YOU decide how long you want to ride and where you want to ride, beach, jungle, or both. We ride with small groups (right now maximum four people), so you will likely be riding with just your group, for just the right amount of time, and just where you want to go.

If others will be on the tour with you, we try to match riders up with like experience. We realize that it is no fun for an advanced rider to wait around all day for a beginner, and it's no fun for a beginner to try to keep up with advanced rider.

Our horses are healthy, big and beautiful and have plenty of energy, yet they are very manageable. You will love our horses. We love them very much, and we treat them accordingly. We feed and groom them well, and we do not believe in over-working them.

Of course, if you have experience, we'll let you run our horses some. Heck, we like to run, too, and so do our horses. But our guide will be there to make sure you don't overdo it. Like we said, we love and protect our horses. Don't even ask us to go without a guide.
